Lyrically, mirth muses metaphorically

     Beauty beautifies with Simile.

Exaggeration excites Hyperbole,

    Oxymoron overwhelms irony.

Whilst Fool fulfills Comedy,

    Villainy validates Tragedy.

Apostrophe addresses Odes,

    Bard betells Ballads.

Dramatic Monologue defies Drama

    Drama sides with Asides.

Comedy of Manners mocks manners.

Comedy of Humor hails humours.

    Whilst Hamartia harms Harmony,

        Catharsis calms Catastrophe..

Rhythmically, rhyme rises metrically;

  Sonnet unstresses with stressed

  Spondee stresses sans unstressed.

Whilst Elizabeth elates Spencerian

And Elizabethan elates Shakespearean,

   Italian instigates Patrachan.

Nature nurtures Romance,

  Ecstasy escalates Fancy.

Blank Pages

I gaze blankly on these blank pages

Which once wrought a sage of a mirage

Conjuring near images of my distant abode

To conspire sweet silent secrets of the Lover's oath.

Enchanting ecstasies of a homely dream,

Soothing senses of a lonely grim,

Ever turning but never hiding, painted

Orphean tales in this dreamy pallet.

Lost wildly, engrossed fully

In the false truth of a distanly near fantasy

And fountains of recurring riveries,

Sorrow swam afar from my melodies.

I gaze blankly on these blank pages

Which once wrought a sage in a mirage

Who sunk senses in the selfless greed

Drowned tightly-trapped eerily  in  Lethe's reeds.

Blank Verse sneers at the blank verses

Muttered mum in this metrical murder.
